Did you hear all these Péquistes who cried out about colonialism, imperialism, national subordination and about the humiliation of Quebecers? Of course not, since the Parti Québécois was much too busy warning Quebecers of the dangers of yellow margarine.
But Bernard Landry has weighed on the decision of the CRTC today. He parroted the lines of the federal Liberals and supported the CRTC by justifying "limits" to freedom of speech. Of course, no one could even think that the fact that these "limits" fell on the head of a political opponent of the PQ may have any influence on Bernard Landry's position. Is there anyone who believes that the nationalism of the Parti Québécois is anything else but folklore? When one believes that yellow margarine is a bigger menace to Québec than an organization that bans from the airwaves those who dissent from the official State orthodoxy, there is quite a lack of seriousness. Of course, it is probable that Landry simply dreams of being able to establish a CRTQ which would enforce the official orthodoxy of the Republic; that would be some "Québec libre." Mais Bernard Landry s'est prononcé sur cette décision du CRTC aujourd'hui. Il fait le perroquet des Libéraux fédéraux et appuie le CRTC en justifiant des "balises" à la liberté de parole. Bien sûr, personne ne pourrait imaginer que le fait que ces "balises" tombent sur la tête d'un adversaire politique du PQ puisse avoir un quelconque impact sur la position de Bernard Landry. Y a-t-il encore quelqu'un qui croit que le nationalisme du Parti Québécois soit autre chose que du folklore? Quand on considère que la margarine jaune est une plus grave menace pour le Québec qu'un organisme qui bannit des ondes ceux qui dérogent à l'orthodoxie d'État officielle, c'est qu'on manque grandement de sérieux. Évidemment, il est probable que Landry rêve simplement de pouvoir établir un CRTQ qui ferait respecter l'orthodoxie officielle de la République; ce serait tout un "Québec libre."
