| Those who hoped (or feared) that the Charest government would revolutionize the workings of the State in Québec would do better to go back to sleep: the Charest government seems to have adopted a policy of total statu quo.
Consider this for example. The youth wing of the Liberal Party of Quebec has adopted a resolution against the forced unionization brought on by the Rand formula. Jean Charest doesn't want to change the statu quo. The former Péquiste premier Lucien Bouchard said that it was time to seriously think about opening the door to the private sector and creating a "two-tier" health care system, noting that "the free and universal character of the health care system has become a question of religion or ideology." The High Priest... oops I mean the Health Minister Philippe Couillard answered no way. If the Québec Liberal Party continues to have this attitude, I will have no choice but to again support the ADQ during the next elections, even though I do not always like the populist actions of Mario Dumont. | Ceux qui espéraient (ou craignaient) que le gouvernement Charest révolutionnerait la manière dont est géré l'État québécois feraient mieux d'aller se rendormir: le gouvernement Charest semble avoir adopté le statu quo total comme politique.

Si le PLQ continue de cette manière, je n'aurai pas d'autre choix que de nouveau appuyer l'ADQ aux prochaines élections, bien que je n'apprécie pas toujours les actions populistes de Mario Dumont. |
