I am skeptical about these attempts at reforming the electoral system. They seem to often be underpined by the naive idea that if only we could find the right way to apportion seats, if only we could find the right alembic to distill "the popular will", then all our problems would be solved. Je suis sceptique face à ces tentatives de réformer le scrutin. Elles me semblent souvent reposer sur l'idée naïve que si seulement on pouvait trouver la bonne façon de répartir les sièges, si seulement on pouvait trouver le bon alambic pour distiller "la volonté du peuple", alors tous nos problèmes seraient réglés. (Et je peux bien parler, le parti que je préfère, l'ADQ, est le plus désavantagé par le système actuel) |
